Description
Antelope Canyon, known to the Navajo as “the place where water runs through rocks,” was formed over millions of years as Navajo sandstone experienced intermittent flash floods and drought, wearing away and polishing the canyon’s narrow walls into a striated finish.
In this photograph, golden hues blend seamlessly into rich reds and deep purples, creating a vibrant tapestry that is both serene and awe-inspiring. The interplay of sunlight and stone brings out a luminous quality in the rock, illuminating hidden textures and patterns that evoke a sense of ancient artistry. Each contour and crevice tells a story of millennia, carved by the persistent flow of water and wind.
