Description
Located on the Navajo Reservation in Northern Arizona, Mesa Arch is a spot much visited by hikers, tourists, and, of course, landscape photographers. Sunset is said to be the best time to gaze upon this sandstone arch that takes on a spectrum of colors depending on the sunlight’s whimsical fancy. In this shot, the sunlight had painted the arch a bright red, its unusual shape resembling a mythical creature, perhaps a serpent, gracefully arching its back to bow before the mystic Sun.
